Under the patronage of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Na’im Al-Abboudi, and the slogan “Iraqi University Students: Messengers of Art and Beauty,” the University of Baghdad has been awarded the Best Direction Prize for the film “Rouh” directed by the student Mustafa Adel Mohsen. This accolade was received at the University Film Festival for Short Films, organized by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in collaboration with the University of the Future in Al-Hilla.

A delegation from the University of Baghdad, consisting of Dr. Rawia Jabbar Hassan from the College of Media and the lecturer Mr. Nofel Jnan Fattouhi from the Department of Cinematic and Television Arts in the College of Fine Arts, expressed their joy at the university receiving the Best Direction Award. They were also honored with the Shield of Excellence and Creativity.

It is worth mentioning that the University of Baghdad participated in three films that captured the admiration and attention of the technical committee and the audience. The film “Rouh,” directed by Mustafa Adel Mohsen; the film “Sukra,” by student Mohamed Abdul Amir from the Department of Cinematic and Television Arts in the College of Fine Arts; and the film “Taloth,” by students Hasnin Ala’a and Haider Hattab from the College of Media at the University of Baghdad.
