The College of Fine Arts holds the first theatrical carnival with giant puppets in Iraq
The College of Fine Arts organized the first theatrical carnival of its kind in Iraq with giant puppets in Al-Mutanabbi Street. The carnival presented by the students of the Performing Arts Department (first stage) under the supervision of Dr. Zainab Abdul-Amir as an outcome of an artistic workshop that lasted for weeks… and also under the general supervision of the Dean of the College, Dr.Muthad Ajeel Al-Asadi. He said: “We emphasize the importance of the Iraqi puppet theater and its educational impact on society. Today we are witnessing its return with strength on the scene.” Various circus games, musical instruments, photographic exhibitions were presented in partnership with students of scientific departments, amid a large public presence and wide interest from artists and critics.
