The Library

The Library of the College of Fine Arts was established to house a wide array of scientific sources and references by Iraqi, Arab, and international authors, covering various specialized fields within the fine arts. The college has been keen to provide resources and references for its specialized branches, aligning with its expansion plan to encompass all aspects of students’ research efforts, whether at the undergraduate or postgraduate levels. This made it one of the largest scientific libraries in the field of fine arts in the region.

Unfortunately, the library was burned during the events of 2003, resulting in the loss of its vast repository of knowledge and artistic resources. However, the library has since regained its presence, thanks to efforts to revive it. It now includes a large number of scientific resources. Faculty members, university staff, and students have contributed to enriching this academic establishment with modern publications and resources, in addition to thousands of theses and dissertations, both in physical and digital formats. This has transformed the library into an inexhaustible well of knowledge for students and researchers alike.

Fine Arts Stadium

The Stadium of the College of Fine Arts is one of the most important facilities on campus that has been rehabilitated to enhance both athletic and artistic activities, as well as to host and organize tournaments. The field’s surface has been upgraded with modern, safer materials that are more suitable for students. Additionally, the seating capacity has been doubled, fences around the field have been replaced, and it has been equipped with advanced lighting, as well as rooms and bathrooms fitted with the latest amenities.

The rehabilitation process took into account quality and safety requirements along with international sports standards, aiming to prepare students for games and training across various sports, such as basketball, football, volleyball, and more. Furthermore, the field serves as a venue for sports and artistic competitions that foster students’ skills and stimulate their talents. These activities are conducted in collaboration with the College’s Department of Student Activities and training programs.
