Handicrafts Workshop
In the Department of Art Education

The Department of Art Education is distinguished by teaching students the craft of handicrafts, equipping future art education teachers with the necessary expertise to educate students in educational institutions. The Handicrafts Workshop relies on a variety of tools and raw materials, transforming them into artistic creations that serve both functional and aesthetic purposes.

Outstanding handcrafted works are showcased at the Art Education Department Festival. The workshop serves as one of the key resources for the department, producing a diverse range of handicrafts for participation in the annual festival. Approximately 100 pieces are created during each academic year under the supervision of experienced and specialized faculty members.

Ceramics and Sculpture Workshop and Laboratory
For Creating Sculptures and Ceramic Arts

This facility comprises a collection of laboratories where students are taught essential artistic and technical methods in various sculptural fields, along with the art of ceramic production. Students explore different types of ceramics, such as Japanese Raku and other styles, as well as creating diverse sculptures, including symposium-style works.

The workshop is equipped with numerous tools and kilns designed for working with different types of clay, using chemically formulated mixtures based on scientific principles. These are transformed into exquisite artistic creations under the supervision of experienced and specialized faculty members.

The laboratory also provides the department with meticulously crafted artworks that are showcased at sculpture and ceramics festivals, highlighting the skills and creativity of the students and faculty.

Theater and Music Workshop
For Children’s Theater and Music

This workshop hosts various student training activities, including:

  1. Theatrical Arts:
    • Educational plays designed for both adults and children.
    • Glove puppet theater and other types of educational theatrical performances.
  2. Choral Singing and Music:
    • The theater serves as a key venue for student projects, accommodating performances in choral singing, instrumental music, and other musical works.
    • It supports the artistic endeavors of undergraduate and postgraduate students with its capacity to host diverse performances and rehearsals.
