Department of Design Arts
The Department of Design is one of the most important departments in the Faculty of Fine Arts, University of Baghdad. It is the first design department to be established in Iraqi universities. The department was initially established under the Department of Visual Arts at “Academy” of Fine Arts. The first majoring group of students was enrolled in the 1972-1973 academic year. The two major groups are graphic and industrial design.
