Scientific vision
The Department of Theater works with continuous efforts to urge and train students to highlight the multiple skills of the student and try to direct them in the right scientific direction as well as trying to reach the development of curricula so as to keep pace with the great development in the means and techniques of theater and the development of curricula with the nature of global development, especially modern technologies in practical application and train students on them and know their skills In addition to the continuous work to develop the general theatrical taste by preparing a promising generation of students who carry the elements of theatrical work in addition to mastering all the details of this ancient art, as well as urging students to participate in theatrical works inside and outside Iraq by introducing them to the official theatrical festivals that are held throughout the year.
The goals that the theater seeks to achieve are: 1- Preparing artists specialized in theatrical art in all its disciplines, according to scientific requirements. 2- Stimulating the talent and personal skill of the student through training and practice, each according to his specialization, in order to be qualified to work after graduation in public or private sector institutions. 3- Motivating and helping students to learn modern techniques in the art of theater and training them in scientific laboratories and workshops needed by the student in his work after graduating as a designer. 4- Seeking to present students’ graduation projects and trying to present applied experiences in theatrical art.
