Pioneers Theater

The Pioneers Theater is one of the most significant theatrical laboratories among Iraqi universities. It hosts numerous rehearsals and theatrical performances throughout the academic year for both undergraduate and postgraduate students. The theater also serves as the venue for the annual festival showcasing the final-year students’ projects, in addition to hosting theatrical performances organized by faculty members and various university festivals and events.

Faculty members train students in the following skills:

  2. Theater technologies
  3. Acting and theatrical delivery
  4. Stage lighting
  5. Theater set design
  6. Surround sound
  7. Costume design for theater
  8. Theatrical props and accessories

Theatrical Training Workshop and Laboratory
For Training and Acting Skills

Located in the Department of Theatrical Arts building, this workshop is dedicated to teaching students essential theatrical skills, including makeup and costume creation. Students also learn the fundamentals of working with scripts and bringing them to life on stage.

The workshop provides opportunities for students to engage in various physical fitness exercises tailored for theater and to develop professional acting skills. All training is supervised by experienced and specialized faculty members, making this workshop a crucial part of actor preparation and skill-building.

Additionally, the space is used for rehearsing and preparing project assignments and theatrical performances organized by the department throughout the year.
