Baghdad University’s College of Fine Arts Achieves an Advanced Ranking in the Times Higher Education Classification<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

With continuous support from the President of the University of Baghdad, Prof. Dr. Baha Ibrahim Ensaf, and under the direct supervision of the Dean of the College of Fine Arts, Dr. Mudhad Al-Assadi, the college has secured an advanced position in the Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings. The college attained a ranking of 604 among global universities contributing to the publication and support of arts, literature, and humanities.<\/span><\/p>\n

Creativity and innovation are fundamental academic pillars that shape the goals of the College of Fine Arts, which serves as a primary source for fostering and disseminating artistic culture and impactful productions at the University of Baghdad. This strong foundation has led Times Higher Education evaluators to recognize the university\u2019s excellence in this field, reinforcing the need to celebrate and further enhance creative artistic contributions that will undoubtedly elevate the university\u2019s global reputation.<\/span><\/p>\n

Prof. Dr. Saleh Al-Fahdawi, Head of the Quality Assurance and Academic Accreditation Division, emphasized that the Times Higher Education (THE) ranking is one of the most prestigious and significant global university classifications. It assesses academic and research performance using a comprehensive and precise methodology based on key criteria that measure academic quality and encourage excellence and innovation. These criteria include:<\/span><\/p>\n

  1. Teaching (Learning Environment): Evaluating the quality of education, student-to-faculty ratios, and academic reputation.<\/span><\/li>\n
  2. Research: Assessing the volume of research output, research income, and reputation.<\/span><\/li>\n
  3. Citations (Research Influence): Measuring the impact of scientific research based on citation counts by other scholars.<\/span><\/li>\n
  4. International Outlook: Reflecting the university’s ability to attract international students and faculty members.<\/span><\/li>\n
  5. Industry Income: Demonstrating the university\u2019s ability to innovate, engage in industrial partnerships, and contribute economically and socially.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
